Teaching
Second Semester, SY 2008-2009:
General Resources:
- "How to Say Nothing in 500 Words" by Paul Henry McRoberts is a hilarious yet insightful article on writing essays for school. I find it just as useful as Strunk and White, to be honest.
- "Five Ways of Looking at a Thesis" by Erik Simpson is a pithy set of invaluable advice for how to write powerfully with a thesis statement that works.
- "Designing a Class Like a Game" by Bryan Alexander isn't really addressed to my students. Instead, it just might be a creative and experimental possibility for me to consider when developing a course in the future.
