Gramsci For Kids
As a new father (and a long-time lover of trains and railways), Thomas the Tank Engine has been on my mind so much these days. Given how our first readings (Marx/Engels and Gramsci) aren't the easiest texts to read, you may find it useful and interesting to check the following links. I'll expand this page later (and most likely move it to pages reserved for the articles themselves), but for now, here are the links:
- "The Really Revolutionary Engine" (a parody that appeared on someone's blog)
- "Antonio Gramsci on Sesame Street" (an article from an online magazine)
- "Gramsci, Sesame Street, and Thomas" (a blog entry on the above article and other related matters)
- "Where Can Elmo Learn More?: Sesame Street's Elmo as Collector of Information" (research paper analyzing the ideology of Elmo's World)
