Each chapter in Pattern Recognition contains a profusion of ideas and observations about contemporary life in the information age. You are required to list such insights for each chapter assigned to you by creating and/or editing a page for it.
For those whose chapters have already been discussed, you are permitted to use ideas raised in class, but each item listed must be accompanied by an active link to a relevant online resource (a news article, a YouTube clip, an MP3, a blog entry, etc.).
COM12G students must come up with three ideas each for their two chapters, while COM12A students must come up with a list of six ideas for the single chapter assigned to each one. In the end, every student will provide six ideas and URLs.
Because you are sharing chapters with someone from the other section, however, the ultimate result is that each chapter/page will contain nine ideas and insights about the contemporary world of information.
You are allowed, even encouraged, to discuss matters with your "online" partner, whoever it might be, to make sure none of the ideas are doubled in the list of nine. You may even consider the Chapter Annotations requirement as collaborative work with the other student.
You are allowed to ask your other classmates for help, too, but all of this must be done publicly (i.e., on this forum). Who knows? I may even help you with your chapter if you wish.
Any questions?
